Far North Far north was written by Will Hobbs. The book is about a boy named Gabe. He lives with his mother in Texas but decides to visit his father in Canada. When he is visiting his father he decides to go on a trip with a brush pilot who is taking a kid he met in school and the kid's grandfather to there home in Nahanni Butte. On the way to Nahanni Butte they decide to land at the Virginia Falls. When they land upriver the plane stalls and they are unable to dock the plane. They hurry to get everything off the plane. When they almost have everything off the pilot remembers the bullets for the gun. He returns to the plane to get them. He then tries to throw the box to the shore from the plane. The box does not make it and is swept away in the river. Then the plane enters the rapids and is getting closer to the falls. The pilot realizing he would not be able to swim to shore stays aboard the plane. The plane and the pilot go over the falls. Gabe and Raymond go and look to see if he survived the fall. They find very little wreckage and no pilot. They then return to the top of the falls. The three of them now have to fend for them selves and escape from Deadmen Valley. The elder is there main hope because he is very skilled in living off the land. Then the old man dies and Gabe and Raymond have to escape by them selves. Every time it seems like they are about to make it something even worse happens. For another summary click here
